I am having a hard time getting the photo to do this fabric justice! I often have that problem with soft colors, which this fabric is full of. This is a Japanese import from Yuwa by Junko Mivazaki. It is absolutely fabulous! It is feather soft, slightly sheer with a weave that gives it the appearance of a silk even though it is cotton. We have a little bit left in our shop, but don’t be surprised if we appear to not want to sell it to you. It is so beautiful it is hard to see it go!
I picked up this little gem at the Spring Quilt Market! It feels really appropriate to the season right now, so I thought I would share it. I didn’t used to be such a fan of birds, but for some reason I am really into them this year. I love the un-expected colors as well, it is so Japanese! The fabric is from Yuwa and is a 50/50 blend of linen and cotton. I have a tiny bit to sell if you would like some, just follow the link:Yuwa Folky Fall Fabric
Okay, I am a little behind schedule and it is actually Saturday, but what the heck. This fabric is really one of my all time favorites in my stash at home. I have a ton of it and have used a little bit here and there, but I am saving the bulk of it for just the right project. I am not sure what that is yet, but I am sure I will know it when I see it. This is a Japanese fabric from Yuwa. The fabric was already unavailable when I spotted it at Quilt Market a few years ago. The fabric was being used as a back-drop on the Yuwa booth. After days of relentless begging and pleading to purchase it, the Yuwa staff gave it to me!!! I was beyond thrilled, to say the least. I used a little bit of it last year to make some frames of fabric to hang in my kitchen. They sell the frames at Ikea. It litterally takes minutes to make them, and I think they are a fabulous addition to any room! A great way to use some of your stash favorites!
