This is our Happy Hedgehogs Quilt. I am so excited to announce that it will be featured in a new book called Baby Quilts for Beginners from That Patchwork Place & Martingale, available July 5th. We will have books & kits for sale in our SHOP . But also, Make sure to ask your local quilt shop to get it. It even made it to the cover! Yay! There are many fantastic, yet simple to make projects in this book. We are proud to be in the company of so many wonderful quilt designers. Pick it up, we promise you won’t be disappointed.
I am always excited to see the new Quiltmania Special Children Magazine when it comes out each year! We especially love all things for kids and so its always a fave. This year is the 2nd year in a row that we have had one of our original designs featured in it, so its a little extra special! It has just started showing up in the U.S. stores, so look out for one, they always sell out quickly. Our quilt Sleepytime is included alongside 19 other adorable projects. I like them all, but there is a quilt called “I Spy” by Trish Harper that is my very favorite, its pictured below.
Isn’t it sweet? And below is our Sleepytime Quilt, my other favorite!
We still have some kits left, just click the link below if you would like to order one.
I have to admit, I get on quilt “kicks”. I find a pattern or block, I like and I will make quilt after quilt with a similar design, than I am on to the next one. Right now, I am totally on a Hexie Kick! This latest baby quilt “Honey Bunny” is part of my recent Half Hexie obsession. What do you think? I absolutely adore all of the fabrics in this quilt, especially the floral garden backing!! I actually made two of these at the same time because they were so quick and I needed one to take home right away. This is a great beginner’s project, and you can easily machine quilt it yourself on any machine. If you want some too, we have it all put up in a kit with all of the exact fabrics and our acrylic template. Believe me, you will probably make two also. The quilt is about 40″ X 40″ when finished and will become a “woobie” for whatever little is lucky enough to receive it.

I just love this latest finish, it makes me very happy! This is our Gumball Quilt, what do you think? It is 38″ X 45″, just perfect for a little one, either girl or boy (or keep it for yourself!). It is made with oversized Half Hexies, that are super simple to sew together and very quick! Our pattern is at the printers and will be available next week, in a set that includes an acrylic template to make cutting this shape super simple. We also have complete kits, with all of the exact colors that we used, and the same stripey binding and polka dot backing, which I think really MAKE the quilt! I also loved that machine quilting this on my own Pfaff was totally do-able and I didn’t even have to mark it, I just followed the seams with a light pink Aurifil Thread. Follow the links below if you would like to order a pattern set or Kit (kits come with the pattern set, all fabrics for the top, pre cut bias binding and the backing!)

This is s super simple tip, that will turn your quilt into a scrapbook of any kind with only a little effort. Why not turn your quilt into a record of memories. This is our O is for Owl quilt and we have been recording the milestones in my niece Piper’s life onto the flags as she creates them. We have used a permanent Pigma pen to write them down, and as she is now writing herself, she can start to record them in her own handwriting. Now, not only does she have a quilt she loves but it will be a scrapbook of sorts for milestones in the beginning of her little life. You can do this on any pattern and it really doesn’t take much time! This will work great for children, babies, anniversary gifts, weddings and much more!
