Coming very soon! This adorable Lilla tote bag, doubles as a bike basket or even little girls backpack. We used laminated fabrics to make it extra durable. What do you think? We will have kits available next week. We are buzzing around like little bees getting ready for shop hop. I hope you have saved the dates and are able to make it: June 15th through the 18th, Wednesday through Saturday. If you get here, I will be the giant balloon of a lady floating around the shop. My baby is due a few days after the hop, but I am planning on being here if he does not decide to make an early appearance. Hoping to see you all sometime soon!
UPDATE! We just received these patterns in the shop, you can purchase them online here: Lilla Bag Pattern.
We will also have kits available at Shop Hop next week if you are here in town.
We received a huge box of Alexander Henry fabrics today. Some are re-orders and some are new, all are fantastic! I am a little obsessed with the print above, it is called Paris Park. A little more of the Ghastlies fabric came in as well, get in quick if you want some, it is hotter than the weather today.
Another winner! If these are you adorable children than contact the shop and we owe you a prize. I have all of the photo booth pictures up from Wednesday & Thursday, but I am still working on Friday & Saturdays. Check back soon to see if you are a winner, there will be several more!

Here is a sneak peak of our fantastic 2010 Shop Hop Quilt. It is an amazing miraculous feat that is it finished!!!! We are all about pushing through to the last minute around here. Usually there is a binding job going on late in the night before Shop Hop to finish this quilt. This year our quilt was finished a whole week before the hop!! Hence it is a Shop Hop miracle! Anyhow, come in for the 10th Anniversary of the Wasatch Front Shop Hop! It will be a blast! Shop Hop Hours are Wednesday June 16th 9-8, Thursday June 17th 9-8, Friday June 18th 9-8, and Saturday June 19th from 9-6. We will be having tons of fun, giveaways, and lots of new all around the shop.
P.S. We will be teaching a class on how to make this amazing origami applique flowers that adorn our quilt this summer. If you cannot make a class we have several books that explain the process. They are just beautiful!
Save the date! This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Wasatch Front Shop Hop! Look forward to everything being ten time as fabulous!!! Piper’s along with 14 shops across the valley are participating!
Red N Butter is the top selling pattern of all time at Piper’s! It is by far one of my very favorite quilts as well. I have made it a million times over in a bunch of different fabric combination’s and it is always wonderful. The pattern was previously only available in a book, but has just now come out in an individual pattern. Woo hoo!!! Thank You, Barbara at Cabbage Rose!
Thanks!!! We have loved seeing all of you who have made it out to Shop Hop already and we hope to see the rest of you today and tommorow. Friday and Saturday are the last two days for the 2009 Shop Hop. We have had a ton of fun already!!! There seems to be many more people this year in attendance, which is a great thing!!! Here are some of the many pictures I have taken so far. I will try and get a bunch more up over the weekend.
Our Shop Hop Quilt, lots of animals for the “Pet Shop”!
Liz will probably be mad at me for this, but too bad. She looks too cute cutting fabric!!
I KNOW Jeanette will be mad that I put this picture up of her. Too bad.
Darling baby dress! We embellished it like our Shop Hop shirts. It took minutes and turned out to be so cute! We are selling these little cotton ruffle dresses and super high quality cotton onesies, so you can make your own!
New Posy Time quilt from Bunny Hill Designs. We made kits that have been one of the popular sellers at shop hop. The top seller has been the kits for Jeanette’s smocked dress quilt blocks. I will put up the pictures of those on the next post. They are to die for!!
Not so tired shop hop feet. We were smart and wore our crocs this year. We just added these fabric rosettes to make them a little “happier”. If you have not used the new clover rosette makers, you must! I will post a demo later on in the month, there are endless possibilities and they are easy enough that the little ones can be involved.
See you soon!!!
I have been getting numerous requests for a list of the shops in the shop hop and maps. So I am adding all of the participating shops to the blog with links (I hope I can figure this part out!) to maps on thier location.

Sorry I have been a little neglectful of our blog lately! We have been getting ready for the Shop Hop and it has left little time for much else!
If you have never been, please come, it is so much fun!!! There are 15 wonderful quilt shops participating and each has their own unique flavor. There are also hundreds of fabulous prizes that are awarded for participating. The shop hop starts tommorow, Wednesday June 17th at 9AM. It continues through Saturday, shop hours are 9AM -8PM each day except Saturday shops will be closing at 6PM.
So we hope to see you here!!
A small driving note if your are coming on the freeway there has been a bit of construction on I-80. The best exit to come to our shop is the 1300 East Exit. You turn left at the exit, then left onto 2100 South, then right onto 1100 East and we are on your left side (west side) of the street across from the post office.
When you get back onto the freeway you must do it at 700 East, because the 1300 east on ramp is closed.
