Latest & Greatest: Big Boy in a Bib

I can’t believe my little guy is so big, he is trying to feed himself! Thank goodness he cannot get out of his Aiden & Ava Bib, it is a lifesaver in the laundry department. His grandma made him the little school bus version that he is sporting here.  I may need to make up the cars version shown below, as that is now one of his favorite words. The kits for these adorable reversible bibs were totally sold out a few days ago, but we have been busy as bees working on them and they are all back in stock!

Free Pattern: A Quilt For Claire

We are totally in love with Emily Taylor and her fabrics for Riley Blake Designs. They are just stunning, and to top it off she is local to Utah which we love! This darling quilt is a free pattern that Emily has designed that you can print off for yourself on her blog, just click here to find it. It is called “A Quilt for Claire” , and is a great beginning quilting project. If you are a pro, it is a great “whip it up in an afternoon” project.  We have put the quilt up in a kit that has been flying out the door. We love Emily’s Verona fabrics, but this pattern is a great showcase for any collection!

Free Pattern: Daisy Baby

If I have a little girl someday, I will give her this quilt. I love the simplicity of the design and the soft colors. I made this quilt using the Daisy Cottage collection of fabrics, but it could be made with anything that you love. These fabrics are very girly, but you can change the fabrics to work wonderfully for a boy. This is a great go- to baby quilt for all of those baby showers you will be attending this spring. We are giving you the pattern, it is easy and fast and very beginner friendly. Just follow the link below for the instructions. This quilt is designed to work with 2 sets of 5″ charm squares plus a complimentary fabric. We are selling kits with exactly the fabrics we used, they include everything for the quilt top, pre-cut pink bias binding and the backing fabric, click here to order one. Enjoy!

Favorite Fabric Friday: I Fly A Kite

So this is the fabric I am obsessing over this week. It is from the Ice Cream Patchwork print from the I Fly A Kite collection designed by October Afternoon. I really have not decided on a project with this collection yet, but really want to start stitching into it ASAP. Any great ideas? I do think I may make another crib sheet for Ronan’s room, the colors are all just perfect. I think this is a great print for either a girl or a boy. But  I guess it depends on the Dad, because their is some pink.  Some Dad’s freak if their is even a speck of pink in their boys stuff. Luckily Ronan’s dad was dressed in frilly ruffles as a child and believes that his guy should be tortured in the same way.

I love this fabric and the entire collection!

Favorite Fabric Friday: Daisy Cottage!

I couldn’t pick just one from the Daisy Cottage line! This pair is my favorite from the collection! I am just in love with the gray and pink combo!! You can get your own 1 yard set to whip up whatever your mind can come up with here: My Favorite Set. I am still working on what to create!
