Okay, so it’s Saturday, not Friday, but I am a little behind as usual. I am so excited about the new Riley Blake Knits! This adorable tiny print has my mind buzzing with project ideas! What do you think?
I am loving the soft wispy colors of these willow fabrics. I envision them in a modern little girls nursery, they are perfect for a simple baby quilt. My new latest color combo obsession is yellow & gray, so of course I fell in love at first sight!
I can’t believe my little guy is so big, he is trying to feed himself! Thank goodness he cannot get out of his Aiden & Ava Bib, it is a lifesaver in the laundry department. His grandma made him the little school bus version that he is sporting here. I may need to make up the cars version shown below, as that is now one of his favorite words. The kits for these adorable reversible bibs were totally sold out a few days ago, but we have been busy as bees working on them and they are all back in stock!
With all of the chevron craze as of late, of course it was added to the new Ghastlies collection. I am so in love with it! Isn’t it fab!? It also fills my continued longing for gray fabrics. I am really loving some of the companion fabrics from this collection! The lace tapestry below is also super fab.
We still have these above plus a few more Ghastlies in the shop, the ones that have sold out are coming in again next week! Plus for all of you crazy Chevron lovers, there is a bunch of the Riley Blake Chevrons coming too!
I feel busy, busy, busy and super inspired this week! There is a lot of new projects that are showing up, plus tons in the hopper for later this summer that are so great!~ Make sure to keep in touch!
Next Week is the Wasatch Front Shop Hop 2012! We hope to see you!!!!
We are totally in love with Emily Taylor and her fabrics for Riley Blake Designs. They are just stunning, and to top it off she is local to Utah which we love! This darling quilt is a free pattern that Emily has designed that you can print off for yourself on her blog, just click here to find it. It is called “A Quilt for Claire” , and is a great beginning quilting project. If you are a pro, it is a great “whip it up in an afternoon” project. We have put the quilt up in a kit that has been flying out the door. We love Emily’s Verona fabrics, but this pattern is a great showcase for any collection!
If I have a little girl someday, I will give her this quilt. I love the simplicity of the design and the soft colors. I made this quilt using the Daisy Cottage collection of fabrics, but it could be made with anything that you love. These fabrics are very girly, but you can change the fabrics to work wonderfully for a boy. This is a great go- to baby quilt for all of those baby showers you will be attending this spring. We are giving you the pattern, it is easy and fast and very beginner friendly. Just follow the link below for the instructions. This quilt is designed to work with 2 sets of 5″ charm squares plus a complimentary fabric. We are selling kits with exactly the fabrics we used, they include everything for the quilt top, pre-cut pink bias binding and the backing fabric, click here to order one. Enjoy!
So this is the fabric I am obsessing over this week. It is from the Ice Cream Patchwork print from the I Fly A Kite collection designed by October Afternoon. I really have not decided on a project with this collection yet, but really want to start stitching into it ASAP. Any great ideas? I do think I may make another crib sheet for Ronan’s room, the colors are all just perfect. I think this is a great print for either a girl or a boy.But I guess it depends on the Dad, because their is some pink. Some Dad’s freak if their is even a speck of pink in their boys stuff. Luckily Ronan’s dad was dressed in frilly ruffles as a child and believes that his guy should be tortured in the same way.
I love this fabric and the entire collection!
We have received a bunch of fabrics in the last few days! One of my favorites are above and part of the Verona collection. I snagged a Fat Quarter bundle of the whole collection and stared at it for a while last night. Maybe I can start something with it tonight, as I just finished my Daisy Baby quilt.
I couldn’t pick just one from the Daisy Cottage line! This pair is my favorite from the collection! I am just in love with the gray and pink combo!! You can get your own 1 yard set to whip up whatever your mind can come up with here: My Favorite Set. I am still working on what to create!
I am so excited to finally get these Farm Fresh fabrics in the shop, they were worth the wait! I would love to make a little girls quilt with them, something very simple and vintage. I am glad there are so many classic polka dots and checks in the collection. So sweet!!
