We are very excited to announce that Anna Maria Horner will be coming to Piper’s in a few short weeks! Mark your calendars, get a babysitter and grab your pals. Anna will be at Piper’s the evening of Friday May 13th from 6-8PM. Anna has launched a new line of beautiful pearl cotton and embroidery floss to compliment her designs, that will be introduced and available for purchase at the event. There will be plenty of tips, projects to share and even some hands on stitching , we hope to see you there!

There is an amazing Trunk Show of Anna’s Designs in the shop currently as well as a complete selection of her patterns and books. If you are too  far away, you can check them out on our website.  Stay tuned, there are a lot of exciting events you will want to be a part of , all in the month of May!

Perfect Pinwheels!

Perfect Pinwheels is a new quilt in the shop, that is very beginner friendly. We get perfect pinwheels by using Thangles to make our half square triangle. They are one of our very favorite tools! We are doing a demo on how to do Thangles at the shop today, Wednesday, at 2:00 pm. If you are too far to come and see us, I will be posting an online version of the demo very soon. I love the simplicity of this quilt!

Pink Tiny Tunic

This little pink tunic is just perfect for spring! If only it would just arrive! This is a super simple pattern that most beginner knitters could make. Make it with any sport weight cotton yarn, the pattern can be found in the Debbie Bliss Magazine: Spring/Summer edition. We just love the simplicity of this style! The pattern is sized from 3 months up to 24 months.

Sneak Peak: Modern Applecore

This is just a little peak at one of the new quilts that will be up after the New Year. This is our take on the traditional  Applecore. The size is giant, which makes your quilt easier to put together and super quick to complete. We are teaching a class on this quilt on the new class schedule, if you would like to learn our tips. If you are far away, we will also be offering a pattern with the same secrets. I love the fabrics, but I guess I am a little biased because I picked them out.

Quite Contrary

Phew! Shop Hop is over and it was a blast, but I was glad to have a little catch up on sleep over the weekend. Now I can charge forward with all new stuff at the shop.  We are working on a bunch of new quilts for our Open House in September. It is really hard because there are too many fantastic ones to choose from.

Above is the Quite Contrary quilt! It is my new favorite! It is an exclusive to Piper’s, so click the link if you would like to order a pattern.

P.S. I will be working hard to get all of the Shop Hop photos up by tomorrow for everyone to see. Check back for the link to see your photos.

More sweet Life

Sweet Life Purses

Sweet Life is a line of handbags, knitting bags and organizers put out by Amy Butler with  her original fabrics(the fabrics used in the bags are not available in fabric collections). We are carrying the full line of them at the shop and just received the latest batch. I MUST HAVE all of these bags, they are so adorable. Plus each one has massive amounts of seperated pockets inside so that you can keep all of your crazy purse clutter super organized. LOVE THEM!!!
