Piper took her first ride around the neighborhood on her dads bike last weekend! A major milestone. You can already tell that she is a speed demon, she laughed the whole time. Apparently when he took her off, she went back to the seat and said, “up, up”.
I am really in love with the green bike seat that Piper is using. Her Dad knows everything there is to know about biking, and recommends this seat which is by Ibert. The company is local to Utah, so that is another plus!

Fab Fall Acessory #3
More sweet Life
Sweet Life is a line of handbags, knitting bags and organizers put out by Amy Butler with her original fabrics(the fabrics used in the bags are not available in fabric collections). We are carrying the full line of them at the shop and just received the latest batch. I MUST HAVE all of these bags, they are so adorable. Plus each one has massive amounts of seperated pockets inside so that you can keep all of your crazy purse clutter super organized. LOVE THEM!!!
Power? Who needs it?
Yesterday we lost power at the shop for 5 hours!I guess it was a little too windy for the power lines around here. Tuesday is knitting night around here, so rather then cancel we just took it outside. It was like extreme knitting in the 95 degree weather!
I have so much to blog about because of all of the new goings on at the shop. But my Nikon has decided it needs a summer vacation! Hopefully after a few days off at the camera shop it will be ready to come back to work. I had a nice long vacation last week, so I guess it was jealous.
Summer Clearance! We have pulled a ton of fabric, books, patterns and yarn and marked it all 50% off. So get it quick to get first pick.
Piper’s will be open for the 4th of July with mini hours: 11-5. Stop by and shop our Summer Sale and check out the Sugarhouse street festival.
More Shop Hop
Thanks!!! We have loved seeing all of you who have made it out to Shop Hop already and we hope to see the rest of you today and tommorow. Friday and Saturday are the last two days for the 2009 Shop Hop. We have had a ton of fun already!!! There seems to be many more people this year in attendance, which is a great thing!!! Here are some of the many pictures I have taken so far. I will try and get a bunch more up over the weekend.
Our Shop Hop Quilt, lots of animals for the “Pet Shop”!
Liz will probably be mad at me for this, but too bad. She looks too cute cutting fabric!!
I KNOW Jeanette will be mad that I put this picture up of her. Too bad.
Darling baby dress! We embellished it like our Shop Hop shirts. It took minutes and turned out to be so cute! We are selling these little cotton ruffle dresses and super high quality cotton onesies, so you can make your own!
New Posy Time quilt from Bunny Hill Designs. We made kits that have been one of the popular sellers at shop hop. The top seller has been the kits for Jeanette’s smocked dress quilt blocks. I will put up the pictures of those on the next post. They are to die for!!
Not so tired shop hop feet. We were smart and wore our crocs this year. We just added these fabric rosettes to make them a little “happier”. If you have not used the new clover rosette makers, you must! I will post a demo later on in the month, there are endless possibilities and they are easy enough that the little ones can be involved.
See you soon!!!
Another Etsy Find
A wonderful addition to your super chic nurserry! This little poster is so fab, and there is also a complete alphabet on 5X7 cards from the same seller. Such a small world, I found this on Facebook today and realized they are made by a girl I went to highschool with. Check out her etsy shop here.
Comforts of Home
Comforts of Home is another applique masterpiece from Bee in My Bonnet. I can’t keep my head on straight there are so many amazing new goodies coming in every day! FOcus, Focus! Why is that so hard for me?
MMMMM Pincushion!
Isn’t this pincushion so yummy! You just want to gobble it up! This is one of a few different pincushions that we have just made for the shop. It is a patternfrom portabello pixie. There are two different sized cupcakes in the pattern and of course we had to make the high calorie size!
Spring Cardigan
This is our newest baby pattern! Isn’t it perfect to keep warm this spring? It is called the Meddi Ruffle Baby Sweater and is for newborns to 24 months.
Find!
Check these out! Aren’t they great? They are retro aluminum apple cannisters that I purchased this weekend at a local consignment shop. I think they will really help with my sewing room organization and look amazing at the same time. I have a major problem with purchasing containers. I really like to find interesting looking ones, so that they are worthy of holding all of my treasures.
