Tiny Treasure: Ida’s Gift

I am not sure where this little guy came from, but he has been sitting in my sewing room for years. He watches me work, and never seems to change locations. He is a calm constant in an otherwise very chaotic room. I am not really a bird lover, in fact I don’t particularly like them. But there is something about this tiny treasure makes me happy, ao for now he will stick around.
Tiny Treasure: Zebra Peep Toes

These tiny shoes are bar none the most adorable things I have ever seen! We liked them so much, we decided to carry them at the shop. We also loved the fact that they are made by two stay at home moms, right here in Salt Lake! The tiny peep toe mules come in zebra and of course leopard and are available in sizes from newborn to 24 months. Come in and get some at the shop or give us a ring on our toll free number (877-484-5890) and we would be happy to ship you a pair. A must have tiny treasure for fall!
We found this amazing tiny treasure at the shop the other day. It is a hummingbird nest in the twinkle lights! The momma visits it all day long and has a perch in the trees above to keep a careful eye. She gets a little upset when we hang our quilt on the rod below this nest, so we have stopped. We would like to keep her around for as long as we can.
So amazing!!
Tiny Treasure: Wool Pets

We have been busy working on new samples for the shop for spring. If your in Utah right now, it sure doesn’t seem like it is that time of year anymore! But anyway, we are going to do a wool critters class in the next little bit, and here are some of the experiments so far. Cindy and Jeanette worked on these last week, and are both very addicted, so I am sure that there will be more to show off soon. Jeanette is making a replica of all of the dogs in our family over the years and gave me the mini Sadie below. Some of you may remember Sadie as our former shop dog. She was the best! I love the little fat quarter that Jeanette added. Sadie used to steal them from unsuspecting shoppers and then run around Piper’s, hoping that someone would get in on her game.
This is Cindy’s little blue bird. Definitely a tiny treasure!

Tiny Treasure: Owl

I do not know why but there is something that makes everything more appealing to me in a small scale. I think it is one of the reasons I like many of the Japanese quilt designers so much. They tend to make quilts with intricate tiny designs that are just wonderful. I have millions of tiny little treasures, so I am going to start sharing some of them here. This is a primitive little chic that I just love. It sits above my computer as I work and watches over me.
