Loved!: Craft Lake City

This Saturday I spent the entire day at Craft Lake City. Piper’s was a sponsor and we had a booth selling and representing the best of the shop. I have to admit that I spent a lot of my time that I should have been on the clock shopping and checking out everyone elses booths. Overall, I was very impressed with this event, and I think it will just keep improving year after year. The event organizers from Slug magazine ran a well oiled machine, and everyone was as friendly and helpful as can be. Although I have no idea of the actual amount of attendees, the turnout seemed fantastic. If you make any sort of amazing hand- made wares, I would highly suggest getting a booth at this event next year. Anyhoo, back to the shopping. I purchased lots of must have items. Baby showers gifts, matching dog collars for my two boys, felted flowers, headbands and much more. Here are a few pics from just some of my many favorite artists.

Adorable puppets from Nifty Kid Stuff.

Quirky & cute screenprinted clothing from Crowsmack.

Style: Wishful thinking

This fabulous coat has become my latest obsession. It is getting to be that time of year when you start thinking about updating your wardrobe for spring, and I think this would be a perfect start.  I may have to order it for myself today, or that might just be wishful thinking. I may have to check my out my bank account and let it make the decision for me.

A Special Thank You

“May you be radiantly well in heart, body, and mind, and may the way you live be of benefit to all beings with whom you share connection. “

A few weeks ago, I was helping a customer in the shop with a project she was working on. As she left the store, she gave me a little business card and said “Thank You”. It is the card above and on the back it had the quote above. It really made my day! I have never seen these types of cards before, have you? What a really unique way to say “Thanks:.

Happy Holidays!

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday and enjoy some quality time with family and friends!

The shop will be open today, Wednesday the 23rd until 7PM. Then we will be closing up for our Holiday break. We are closed starting on Christmas Eve through Monday December 28th. We will be open again on Tuesday the 29th, and knitting will take place as usual that evening at 5:30.

I stayed up all night last night and finished all of my decorating, wrapping, handmade gift making, and then scoured my whole house top to bottom. I am a bit groggy today but so glad that I got everything all finished. Now I can spend the five days relaxing, oh and eating. Merry Christmas!

The Merry Christmas Image above is my Christmas card that I purchased from a local etsy seller called Sycamore Press . All of their cards are absolutely fabulous!!!

I am Lucky Because… It is Fall & I Can Get Out My Red Boots

Red Boots

Fall is here! The colors are amazing and it is the perfect time of year to wear my red boots. I have a small shoe obsession, and these are one of my very favorites!! I purchased them at a little shop called The Children’s Hour. They have the best shoes in Salt Lake and luckily they are right around the corner from me.
