Spray Paint Pumpkins
Published October 19, 2009 Style 2 CommentsTags: halloween pumpkins, spray paint pumpkins
Its that time of year again! I love Halloween, it is my very favorite holiday. Last year I tried to glitter my pumpkins just like I saw on Martha, but was really disappointed with the end result. Plus the glitter, was falling off the pumpkins and all over my porch, hence all over my dogs and all through out my house for weeks. I am sure Martha’s did not do that, I think I may have used the wrong glue. So this year, I wanted to try something a little different. I decided to spray paint the pumpkins, with paint that already had glitter in it. I love the result! I am so happy with my pumpkins that I had to show them off. I even added clear coat to ensure there would not be any glitter situation this year.
We are constantly playing the CD shown above in the shop, in fact I am listening to it right now. We are asked daily about it, who is it, where can I buy it. So here you go, so that you can pick it up for your collection. It is just perfect for late night sewing listening. The CD is called A New Standard and is by Steve Tyrell.
Here is a little video of his live performance on Jay Leno, so you can see how wonderful he is. Steve Tyrell on the Tonight Show
Tiny Treasure #5

These tiny shoes are bar none the most adorable things I have ever seen! We liked them so much, we decided to carry them at the shop. We also loved the fact that they are made by two stay at home moms, right here in Salt Lake! The tiny peep toe mules come in zebra and of course leopard and are available in sizes from newborn to 24 months. Come in and get some at the shop or give us a ring on our toll free number (877-484-5890) and we would be happy to ship you a pair. A must have tiny treasure for fall!
I had to have these Leopard sneakers from Boden , I have thought about them all week.
There is nothing better than a Sunday night of shopping followed by a little Mad Men accompanied by a slice of lemon torte . Life is good.

Sweet Life is a line of handbags, knitting bags and organizers put out by Amy Butler with her original fabrics(the fabrics used in the bags are not available in fabric collections). We are carrying the full line of them at the shop and just received the latest batch. I MUST HAVE all of these bags, they are so adorable. Plus each one has massive amounts of seperated pockets inside so that you can keep all of your crazy purse clutter super organized. LOVE THEM!!!
Sorry! It seems that I have forgot about the blog lately. Too much summer fun. This picture sums up the past few weeks pretty nicely(but I also wanted to show off my $6 new shoes, Old Navy rocks). But it is about time to get back to work! So I will be seeing much more of you. Mmmm maybe tommorow it is too nice outside today.
Adorable A-Z

I purchased these adorable Alphabet flash cards this weekend at Michaels, along with a bunch of matching scrapbook supplies. I usually like to frequent the smaller business’s like my favorite local shop, Paper Creations for these types of things. But I love the designer Jenn Ski, I have a bought a ton of her stuff off Etsy. Aren’t they adorable!! They have fun facts about each animal on the back of each 3X5 card, but are so cute that you want to frame them. The scrapbook papers, chipboards and stickers are just as cute. We have a ton of customers that come int he shop and say that they buy a ton of our fabric, but do not know how to make anything with it, and just like to look at it on their shelf. I am this way with scrapbooking supplies! I need some serious lessons, so I can make something with all of the wonderful supplies I have collected!

A wonderful addition to your super chic nurserry! This little poster is so fab, and there is also a complete alphabet on 5X7 cards from the same seller. Such a small world, I found this on Facebook today and realized they are made by a girl I went to highschool with. Check out her etsy shop here.
