I am so obsessed with this Mecca Modern fabric! We are cutting some for a little girls dress today, but I definitely also want to us it for a quilt back sometime soon. LOVE!
These sweet little Flea Market Friends are melting my heart today. I am in love! Aren’t they adorable? We have put together a set of 1 yard each of the main print and the pink polka dot that you can purchase through this link here: Flea Market Friends Set
What would you like to make with it?
I am currently working on a quilt for my own bed. I have made a million quilts but never one that is selfishly just for myself. I figured it was about time! I am having so much fun, it has all of my favorite fabrics but still very modern to match our home’s decor. I have used this Japanese import in it and it started me to thinking. I am pretty sure I have used this fabric in over 20 quilts. It has been in my stash forever and over time I have slowly widdled it down to only about 1/2 a yard. Do you have fabrics like that? Ones that use use slowly again and again, because you just love them and they seem to work in everything. Honestly I am not even sure which brand this fabric is, but I am guessing it is Yuwa and I know it is a Japanese import because the hand is so silky its hard to believe it is only cotton. Fabric love!
I am having a hard time getting the photo to do this fabric justice! I often have that problem with soft colors, which this fabric is full of. This is a Japanese import from Yuwa by Junko Mivazaki. It is absolutely fabulous! It is feather soft, slightly sheer with a weave that gives it the appearance of a silk even though it is cotton. We have a little bit left in our shop, but don’t be surprised if we appear to not want to sell it to you. It is so beautiful it is hard to see it go! But if you want to twist our arm, here is a link: Yuwa Remember Quilts. I already have some saved for if ever I have a little girl!
Okay, so it’s Saturday, not Friday, but I am a little behind as usual. I am so excited about the new Riley Blake Knits! This adorable tiny print has my mind buzzing with project ideas! What do you think?
Wow! I cannot believe we were able to get this wonderful fabric again! We just received some more “Mocca”by Alexander Henry. This was one of my very favorite fabrics ever! It was out of print a while ago, but by popular demand they brought it back! Woo Hoo!
I am loving the soft wispy colors of these willow fabrics. I envision them in a modern little girls nursery, they are perfect for a simple baby quilt. My new latest color combo obsession is yellow & gray, so of course I fell in love at first sight!
We have had this fantastic fabric for a while, I can’t believe I haven’t put it up on the blog yet! What could be better than soft cuddle(another word for minky) fabric in a Dr. Suess print?! I have saved some for a woobie for my little guy. Just for kicks, I am putting it on a Internet only special price of $15.95 a yard! If you would like some for your own little project, click here.
Oh boy! There are more Chevrons from Riley Blake in the shop! Now I can’t wait for the Ombre Polka Dots to get here! They should be here early next week! I hope you are all having a lovely holiday week! Enjoy your families!
