This is a free pattern from the Purl Bee, that we changed just a bit. We love the modern look! Follow the last link for the pattern, and make the following changes if you would like it to look like ours. We used a wonderful chunky cotton that is super washable, in 8 fabulous shades. We offer a yarn kit with our exact colors that is slightly discounted less than if you purchased all of the skeins separately. You will also need 24″ U.S. #10 Circular Knitting Needles, we like the Addi Turbo Lace. Our blanket is 36″ X 40″ when completed. You will need to cast on 142 stitches in order to get our size. This is so fun to work on! It knits very quickly and is super simple! Movie knitting at it’s best!
This quilt makes me smile! It makes me happy for several reasons. First of all the colors are just bright and cheery. But most importantly it was made by Tara Parker in our Beginning Quilting class. Tara had never made a quilt before, this was her first patchwork attempt. Didn’t it turn out to be fabulous!? Please send us pics of any quilts you have made in our classes or bring them in the shop to share when you are finished. It really brightens our day!

The possibilities are endless! We have been going a little nutty with them, they are our new favorite tool! You can purchase them through our website here: Scallop Scissors, or in the shop.
The weather is absolutely gorgeous today! I plan on being outside as much as I can this weekend. We are taking full advantage of it! Ronan took his 1st bike ride on his own bike today and tomorrow he gets his 1st on mine. I hope you and your family do much of the same. Enjoy!
I am on a cleaning binge, it must be the spring weather. I have torn apart my sewing room and have been going through my stash in an effort to finally come up with the perfect fabric storage system. I am sure I will be satisfied with it until next year, when I do it all over again, It seems like I do this year after year. In cleaning, I came across this fantastic red zebra fabric. I love it! I have no idea who made it, it does not say anything on the selvedge. I am sure I have had it for ages so it also must be pretty old. But really isn’t it fun? I must come up with something fantastic to make Ronan! I only have a little bit, so I will have to be careful!
I just found this Rose Cravat while looking for something else on Berroco’s website. I am in love!!! I have to make this! This is so simple ans so chic! I have started knitting like a house of fire late at night while my baby is sleeping. I am discovering that becoming a night owl is the key to accomplishing anything. I am working on a nautical themed boys sweater, I’ll share some pics soon. As soon as that is finished, or maybe even before, I am starting this! Follow the link below to find the pattern and you can make one too!
