Pretty Patterns: Little Girl’s Luncheon Set

Isn’t this one of the most adorable things you have ever seen!? This is Piper in her new pink coat! It made it’s debut at a Luncheon at the Grand America. The coat and hat are one of our latest knitting patterns, so you can make one for your fabulous little lady. The pattern is called The Little Girls Luncheon Set and can be made for sizes 6 months up to 4 years. The hat pattern is included as well as a separate pattern to make a shorter jacket style if you prefer. The knitting is very easy, even a beginner can do this! We have used one of our favorite yarns,Amelie. It is super silky soft, and will wash and wash and has a wonderful fluffy look. I am so in love with this set!

Best Book: Fabric by Fabric One-Yard Wonders

This book is just in time for some last minute home made gift giving!  All of the projects are super simple to make and all require just One yard of fabric! Oh and there are 101 of them! So there is something to give to everyone on your list. P.S. the book also has full size patterns for all of the projects. It seriously packs a punch for just one book.   I have highlighted a few of my fave designs below.

A Handbag and accessories for your mom!

A great neighbor gift perhaps?

For your girlfriend who just had a baby.

For your artistic niece or nephew.

Seriously this book has something fast and fantastic that you can make for everyone on your list!

Quick Tips & Tools: Tessa!

Here is a fab new tool that will make a perfect gift for the creative person that has it all! The new Tessa Scissors from Gingher. Hello, my name is Erin and I have a scissor problem.  Seriously , can you really ever have too many scissors? I needed these in both sizes to add to my collection. Gingher puts out a different designer series scissor each year, sometimes, I am not so fond of the print, and other times I go nuts for them. The Tessa is one I am nuts for! Besides the fact that these are so pretty, they are the best little embroidery & applique scissors. The large shears are excellent as well! So leave a hint for your hubby, kids, or just go and get em on your own.

Local Favorites: The Creative Capsule

I have been meaning to share this great new local favorite with you for a while! The Creative Capsule is something you need to know about if you are a hip local! My friend Allison and her partner Lisa started this fabulous business last spring. There is nothing else like it around! The capsule is a mobile refuge for creativity for your little ones and you. This beautiful vintage airstream bee bops all over town and invites you in for your own art experience. You can book a private party and it will come to you or show up to one of its already scheduled events around town. For the holidays they have a series of family friendly workshops to create your own handmade Holiday decor(see the fab pictures below). You must check them out!
