I picked up this little gem at the Spring Quilt Market! It feels really appropriate to the season right now, so I thought I would share it. I didn’t used to be such a fan of birds, but for some reason I am really into them this year. I love the un-expected colors as well, it is so Japanese! The fabric is from Yuwa and is a 50/50 blend of linen and cotton. I have a tiny bit to sell if you would like some, just follow the link:Yuwa Folky Fall Fabric

Just In! New Class Schedule
We have a new class schedule that runs through the holidays. Now is the time of year that you may be sewing, knitting, quilting and crafting up a storm. We offer an array of classes to get you started or to help you along with additional knowledge. One of our popular new items, we have made into a class. The Naughty or Nice advent calendar! Sign up for the class or you can do it on your own with our complete kit. The kit includes, all of the real wools, just as we have used and great instructions. We are working like busy bees putting them together as I speak, but you can pre-order one here to make sure you get one. The kits will be shipping and in the shop the first week of November. We made this project extra easy so the kiddos can get in on all of the fun!

Free Pattern: Updated Romantic Ruffled Scarf
We made this scarf last year gave away the pattern for free. It has been so popular we decided to update it for this year in some fabulous Mohair!
The pattern can be found here: Romantic Ruffle scarf . We knit ours from Soft Kid, but Kidsilk Aura also works wonderfully. You also have to change your needle from a 5 or 6 to a 2 or 3, we like the addi lace needles the best!
This works up really fast and you will look fabulous in it, it is also great for Christmas gifts!

Local Favorites: BabyLit Books
I discovered these amazing Babylit books this week! My friend Allison gave one as a gift and I had to have one. I went to purchase it at my favorite book store The Kings English, and lo and behold the author just happened to be there signing copies. Her name is Jennifer Adams, she is local, and she had another book that I had to have! These are the most adorable baby board books! They are a counting primer, with fabulous illustrations based on clasasic literature, what more could you ask for?! The book above is Little Miss Austen, Pride & Predjudice, and there is also Little Master Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet. If you have a little one, or just need a gift, these are adorable. Oh and please keep it local by purchasing these local books from our local favorite, Kings English.
Sneak Peak! Advent Calendar
This is a sneak peak at a new Christmas Advent calendar that will be in ths shop soon. We have been doing more and more of our own designs lately. This advent is a Piper’s original and will be in a kit and a pattern. It is made with all real wool felt. For some reason it is a little harder to judge our own work, we are always unsure if people will like it or not. So, what do you think? Maybe we have just been staring at it too long. We are also finishing up a Halloween version that will also be available. If you want to put your name on a kit, call or e-mail us!
