Just In! Animal Alphabet Kits

We whipped up this adorable baby quilt using Jenn Ski’s Animal Alphabet fabrics. When I say whipped up, I mean it. This quilt is truly as quick as it gets. I have many annoying friends that have decided to wait until the baby is born to find out the gender. This seems to be a little bit of a trend lately. I guess I can see the excitement of it, but it can be a little harder when making them a gift. Especially if the Dad is going to have a melt down over even the tiniest pink polka dot. Anyway, to each their own.  I think this quilt is a wonderful option for either a girl or a boy! The fabrics are just fabulous!

Best Book: Stitch Magazine

I purchased this magazine over the weekend mainly because I liked the cover. I am so glad that I did, I love it! It is well worth the $14.99 purchase price! There are a ton of darling projects for children, including a ruffle tunic that is to die for from Olive & S, an alphabet quilt, a whimsical growth chart and much more. There is an apron that I am sure to make for myself as well. Anyway, go out and get it! You will love it! The magazine is called Stitch, and is a special issue put out by Quilting Arts for Spring 2010.

Angela’s Quilt

This is a fabulous new quilt we have hanging in the shop. The maker and designer, Angela, made this as a first attempt at an Applique quilt. So if you are scared to do applique, don’t be! With a little determination you too could make something as wonderful as this! The designs are from a well known artist, Charley Harper. We have patterns for the quilt plus you must purchase the Charley Harper coloring book to get the applique images. Click here to buy a set of both to make this quilt.
