This fabulous coat has become my latest obsession. It is getting to be that time of year when you start thinking about updating your wardrobe for spring, and I think this would be a perfect start. I may have to order it for myself today, or that might just be wishful thinking. I may have to check my out my bank account and let it make the decision for me.

Ida who makes them for us, now has put out a pattern to share with you all of her secrets. So now you can make your own! The pattern is wonderfully organized and is chock full of color photos, that give you easy to follow step by step instructions. The pattern shows you how to make a daisy, marigold and poppy flower. Once you start making these, you really will not be able to stop!

P.S. the stitch above is a Moss Stitch. It is one of my very favorite stitches!! I love the texture it creates and it is very easy.
Cast on an odd number of stitches
Row 1: K1, P1 all across
Row 2: k1, P1 across
Row 3: P1, K1 across
Row 4: P1, K1 across
Repeat these 4 rows to create the pattern.

A Special Thank You
“May you be radiantly well in heart, body, and mind, and may the way you live be of benefit to all beings with whom you share connection. “
A few weeks ago, I was helping a customer in the shop with a project she was working on. As she left the store, she gave me a little business card and said “Thank You”. It is the card above and on the back it had the quote above. It really made my day! I have never seen these types of cards before, have you? What a really unique way to say “Thanks:.

Friday Favorite Fabric
Jasper
I am loving this Jasper yarn that we have in the shop. The colors are amazing and it so soft in your hands when you are working with it! It is an Aran weight so there are a lot of options for what to make with it and it knits up fairly quickly. I made a Lola Scarf out of it! It is probably my 10th Lola, but I could wear them every day!
Best Book: Baby Cashmerino 2
We are so glad to have this book back in the shop! We had trouble getting it for some time and we were worried it was heading out of print. The baby bolero on the books cover has been one of our most popular store displays ever! Everything in this book can be made by a beginner, and you will want to make everything in the book. Baby Cashmerino 2 is a fabulous book! There are a total of 11 patterns for both boys and girls sized from newborn to 2 years. We just can’t seem to get enough of Debbie Bliss around here.
