I am luck to live in Utah, we all are who live here. It is the most amazing place. I have travelled quite a bit and I always still consider my home to be one of the most beautiful palce on earth. It is so lucky that within a 15 minute drive and a 1.2 mile hike, I can be here! I hiked to Secret lake at Alta today, and it was just perfect. if you can get there you should, the wildflowers are unbelievable right now.

A new take on Dresden Plate
We received this wonderful new book today from C& T Publishing. I have always loved Dresden Plate quilts. This book has a variety of quilts that are all a wonderful new take on a classic design. Every quilt in it is one that you want to make, but I especially like the polka dot version below. A must have!
New Summer Class Schedule
Isn’t this little dress darling. These have been quite a fad lately and it is called a pillowcase dress. We ,of course made a few changes to our version, to make it fit a little better, ours is not as boxy as most. This little dress is a great beginners sewing project and is on of our new classes for summer. You can come into the shop to sign up for classes or call and do it over the phone as weel. There is limited space, so the sooner the better. Click on the link below to view the schedule.
If you have trouble viewing our class schedule it may be because you do not have the appropriate software to view a PDF. Please e-mail me at pipersquilts@yahoo.com and I would be happy to e-mail you a copy in another format.
Sneak Peak
Tiny Treasure: The Hummingbird Nest
We found this amazing tiny treasure at the shop the other day. It is a hummingbird nest in the twinkle lights! The momma visits it all day long and has a perch in the trees above to keep a careful eye. She gets a little upset when we hang our quilt on the rod below this nest, so we have stopped. We would like to keep her around for as long as we can.
So amazing!!
Watercolor Fabrics
These fabrics just came in this week and they remind me of a painting. So beautiful! They are from Alexander Henry.
I just can’t help it!
Smocked Dresses Again
I am working on getting good pictures of all of the smocked dress blocks that Jeanette has completed so far up on Flickr. For those of you who are working on the kits it is very helpful since we have changed the fabrics and the look of some of them from the original pattern cover picture. The link is below and there is a comment on each one stating the name of the block on the original pattern. Hopefully I will have all of them up as well as for sale on Etsy by the end of the week. We are overwhelmed with how popular these are and how many internet requests we have received. But I know why, they are stunning!!
Just Dreamy Flannels
Check out these amazing new flannels that are in the shop from Riley Blake Designs , the collection is called “Just Dreamy”. Not only are they fabulous but they are designed locally, so that makes them even better. We are going to be carrying complete collections of all of their fabrics. I can’t wait for the “Be Merry” Christmas collection that is coming in August! We already have a bunch of these fabrics above in hemstitched baby blanket kits, that have been flying out of the store. P.S. we also have a lot of these fabrics is regular cottons too. Too cute!
Blog?

But it is about time to get back to work! So I will be seeing much more of you. Mmmm maybe tommorow it is too nice outside today.
