Oh my! I cannot believe how fabulous this fabric is! I am having so much fun lovingly putting it away. For any of you out there making the Apron Club quilt, it would make a perfect backing or border! We are getting a little obsessive about the aprons around here.
We have been getting boxes and boxes of new stuff every day at the shop. We are stocking up for the Shop Hopalready. The pattern below is another favorite that just came in. It is from Acron Quilts and is to die for! Too many wonderful projects, where to start!

Pretty Posies

We received these patterns today along with many others that are perfect for spring stitching.  The top one is called Pretty Posies and is a perfect begginers applique project. The bottom is Fluttering Butterflies , both are throw size quilts.
Jeanette just finished another quilt by the same designer as these two patterns that is now hanging in the shop. Blossom Hill is a quilt that we have loved for years and finally Jeanette had some time to finish it.

Lotus!

Lotus

I have been waiting with baited breath, hoping that we would gat some of the last of this fabric. YES!~ We received some with our shipments today. These fabrics are from the Amy Butler Lotus collection, which they have just recently stopped the re-prints on. I ordered some a while back and crossed my fingers. And as if it were kismet, we received some more of her patterns on the same day and Voila! I found the Lotus Tunic Pattern in the bunch and it is all of the exact fabrics! Looks like I will have to make myself one.

So I have been bullied into joining twiiter and I am just trying to figure it out right now. So please, if you are on it, find me! My username is pipersquilts and I need all of the friends I can get. Tweet, tweet.

Find! Gift Tags that Grow?

plantable-tags

Check this out! I found these on etsy today from a seller called Greetings that Grow. So cool! They are little tulip gift tags that are made from a paper made of forget me not seeds. So after using them you can plant them and sprout wonderful flowers. These would be so great for a baby shower as table setting tags as well as a number of other uses. I am really stunned and amazed at the wonderful items that I find on Etsy. People are are so creative! I challenge all of you to purchase as many gifts as you can from these wonderful sellers. It feels so much better to buy unique hand made gifts from quality individuals than from big box stores. Plus it is unique and you will probably be the only one to give or have the these one of a kind items.

Spring Flowers

Idas Flowers

It was a beautiful spring day today here in Salt Lake ! The spring flowers are starting to bloom. These amazing flowers showed up in the shop today just in time for spring. Ida makes these for us and we sell them in your shop. We have been having a lot of fun with needle felting lately, but if it is not for you, you can purchase these ready made. This new set comes with pins attatched to the back so you can wear them or add them to your favorite accessory to freshen it up.

Suddenly aprons are the hottest accessory that every girl wants to have! They are super cute and actually really useful in the kitchen(our grandmothers had the right idea). Lately aprons have been everywhere and there are a bunch of adorable patterns popping up all over. If you are apron crazy these books are a must have. Each one has over 20 different apron patterns that are retro inspired. They are a better bang for your buck and have some of the cutest patterns I have found!
