Another Take
This is a wonderful new take on our Sweet & Simple Baby Star pattern(available free on the blog). Isn’t it wonderful? One of our favorite customers Mary, made this using our pattern combined with another for the applique. Mary is a prolific quilter and crocheter who seems to be always making something as a gift for someone else.
If anyone else out there has made this quilt, pease send us your pics, we would love to see them!

Fab New Fabric #1
One of the best parts of my job is ordering and getting to play with wonderful fabrics all of the time! I am going to share with you my favorite fabric each week and let you have a chance to order some before it is gone. We just received this wonderful new fabric from Lucien. It is 100% cotton waffle, a wonderful Duck Egg color with Chocolate Brown polka dots. I am so in love with this fabric. What should I make ???
Free Farrow Rib Pattern
The Farrow Rib pattern is one of my favorites to knit. It has a really nice rythym to it, and is easy enough to knit while watching TV ( which I will be doing a lot of the next few days because I finally joined the 21st century and have TIVO ! I am so excited to watch the Golden Globes without commercials!!!) .It is also a really beautiful pattern! Above is a scarf I am making from Karabella’s Soft Tweed. Isn’t the color amazing? The pattern below is for the exact scarf that I am making, but you can easily change the pattern, It just needs to have K3, P1 across and always end with an extra K1.
And So to Bed
Have you ever used a hot water bottle cover?? I never have, but for some reason I always want to knit them! Weird, I know, but they seem so cute and comforting. Jeanette just made this adorable one for the little ones from Lucinda Guy’s book “And So to Bed”. Everything in the book is for children and has a nightime theme. All of her books on both knitting and crochet are fantastic! Check them out, they are a must knit!
Onesie Dress
This adorable dress is made very easily from a onesie and some adorable fabric. We are teaching it as a class, there is only one on this schedule so sign up quick , because it will fill up fast ! Check out the bloomers below!
Onesie Dress Class $45 Wednesday, Feb 25 12:00-2:00: Onesie and choice of fabric included in tuition.
Britex
I went to San Francisco last week for Christmas. It was lovely to rest and spend some time with my family and to be in weather that was above freezing. I tried to visit as many fabric and yarn shops as I couls but many were closed for the holidays. I was told by Jeanette that I could not miss Britex Fabrics . If you have not been, make sure you stop by the next time you visit the golden gate city. It is 4 wonderful floors of fabrics. If money was no object I would have left with thousands in wools and definitely some of the Missoni fabric shown above.

New Wool
Well we have worked very hard and accomplished a lot of great new changes at the shop. But as always we did not get everthing we wanted to,completed. So keep an eye out over the next month for many more new things to come. Check out all of these wonderful new hand dyed wools that Liz organized today. I think they look just yummy.
