New Needle Felts

Check out these fabulous new pin cushions! They are meant to sit inside a spool of thread, great for right next to the machine. They are 14$ (16$ with shipping) each and so adorable. If you would like a first crack at any of them send me an e-mail at pipersquilts@yahoo.com. Tell me which one you like and I will send a paypal invoice to you and mail it right out! They will be gone fast, so don’t think on it too long.

More Shop Hop

Shop Hop is mostly over and it has been a whirlwind as usual. I’d love to hear from some of you who have participated. What did you love? When we are working the event we miss out on seeing all of the excitement at all of the shops. Well here are some more pics from Piper’s.

Here is our Lollipop Lane, the entrance to the witches gingerbread house.

These ladies were having too much fun!

Shop Hop!

Finally, let the fun begin! Here is our shop hop quilt , our fairy tale is “Hansel & Gretel”. I will not have much blogging time for the next few days, but will fill you in on all of the hop happenings later. If you can make it, the Hop is definitely worth attending, even if you can’t make it to every shop. We hope to see you!

Display Freak Out

Every few weeks I have what everyone at the shop calls a display “freak out”. All of the sudden everything in the shop looks all wrong(mostly just to me and everyone thinks I am crazy) and I have to rearrange everything. Everything looks pretty scary during the process so I try to do it before the shop is open. But usually I do not finish in time and there are crazy piles all around the store for the day. So if you have ever had to witness this, I am sorry for the temporary mess. But when it is done, it feels much better(mostly just to me). So today I had a pre-shop hop display freak out, which means it was even more intense than usual. Here are some various items that I took photos of after I was done. Including some of the new quilts from “Crazy Old Ladies”, they are newbie local quilt designers.

Summer

You know that summer is here when the Hollyhocks arrive. Year after year they come back bigger and better, always just in time for the shop hop. We just put on display a bunch of wonderful quilts from local designers Crazy Old Ladies. They have great easy to make quilts for beginners and we are now carrying their patterns. I will start posting all of the new quilts tommorow. Here is just a sneak peak:

Little Stitchies

Bareroots is one of our favorite pattern companies, everything is so cute and we also love Barri Sue who designs them all. We are trying to make up everyone of her little stitchies patterns. Who could resist these? We are kitting them all as we go.
We will keep adding them as we go until they are all done!

Get Stitching!

We only have a few more weeks until shop hop, and we are in a crazy mad rush to finish all of the projects on our list. I am sure some will be dropped becasue we always get a little ahead of ourselves. Every time I call Jeanette (she normally can talk your ear off), she says “I gotta go and get stitching and so do you”. So I can only post some of my progress quickly, and then it is back to Ellen and Sue Spargo. I cannot complain because I am very lucky to get to be at home with my dogs and my sewing for a job. But, you do get a little weird when your living in your sewing room. I may need a short escape, but no I am going to get stitching instead.
