Sweet Treats
Here are a few sweet treats to start off your week. We have finally finished a bunch of kits for this classic Hearts quilt from Lori Bird just in time for Valentines Day! The quilt is called Heart to Heart . Jeanette brought in an array of felt baby shoes in wonderful candy colors. I had to add a picture of these amazing treats that Susan one of our customers brought in for us to enjoy. We really have the best customers!!
Little Red Shoe
Isn’t this just the most adorable little red shoe!? Jeanette brought it into the shop today. We are going to be teaching a class on these felt shoes called Bebe Shooz in the new class schedule. We are trying to think of some more little images we can add to the toe for other pairs that are in the works. If you have any great ideas, please let us know. This one is a little catapillar in the grass. So Cute!
Winter Wonderland
This picture actually does not do the winter weather justice. This Martin Luther King Holiday was a wet one. We shoveled about a foot of snow off the walkway at the shop this morning. We have decided to close early, I think that all of our customers are home working on projects and maybe we should do the same. Now I just have to decide on which item I will pick up. Most of us here at the shop work on about ten projects at one time. There is too much stimulus being in the store so often, we just want to make everything! I have two projects in particular that I am loving right now. The first is a Debbie Bliss sweater that I am using Rowans new Bamboo Tape Yarn for. If you have not touched the bamboo yet, you are really missing out! It is amazing, all of the best qualities of silk and cotton rolled into one, very renewable resource.
The second project that is very close to completion is just a simple baby quilt. We received a wonderful nautical collection from Moda called The Hamptons. The collection just seemed perfect for a baby boy quilt! Well I am off to work on some projects, I hope that you do the same. Erin

New Mascot in Training
Next time you are in the shop, you may want to take a closer down low. Our new mascot , Henry is in training and just might be begging for your attention under the back door. So far, Henry has not earned the position of official greeter that was formerly held by Sadie. His many antics(for example, refer to picture) have so far, stifled his promotion. Although we hope someday soon he will be able to provide the excellent customer service that made Sadie so legendary!
Some New Color
Winsome Woobie
We have become a little obsessed with Heather Bailey around here lately. Her fabric collection “Freshcut” by Freespirit sold out in 2 weeks . So when we received a second shipment months later, we were excited to say the least. Inspired by a quilt we saw on her blog called “Drag Around Sue”, we created this quilt which we call Winsome Woobie. It literally took 4 hours to make, including binding!
